Desert Hot Springs Police get new Commander

The Desert Hot Springs Police Department has promoted Kenneth J. Peary to Police Commander. Peary has been serving, in an interim capacity, after the promotion of Kate Singer to Chief of Police in August.

Commander Peary has been with the Desert Hot Springs Police Department for four years, after serving 17 years with the San Bernardino Police Department.

Commander Peary has worked as both a Patrol Watch Commander and as the Detective Sergeant. Commander Peary will serve as the Support Services Commander overseeing the Investigations Division, Code Enforcement, and Personnel and Training. Additionally, he will be the Department’s Public Information Officer.
