21-year-old busted with $99,000 worth of meth in Salton City
El Centro Border Patrol agents in Indio arrest a 21-year-old man yesterday evening after they found 3.1 pounds of methamphetamine strapped to his inner thighs.
At 8:00 p.m. last night, while searching a travel bus at the Highway 86 checkpoint, agents questioned a 21-year-old passenger and discovered two vacuum sealed packages strapped to his inner thighs. The packages contain about 3.1 pounds of methamphetamine with an estimated value of $99,000 dollars.
The man was arrested as the sole suspect in the case. He and the drugs were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration for further investigation.
