Why do stolen Hondas keep crashing into Palm Springs pot shops?

Yesterday, a stolen Honda Accord crashed into the front of a Palm Springs medical marijuanadispensaryfor the third time this month. Here’s a rundown of what’s happened:

Sunday, March 3rd, 5:05 A.M.: A stolen white Honda Accord intentionally backed into Desert Valley Treatments near the corner of Ramon and S Gene Autry, causing major damage to the front of the business. Nothing was stolen from the clinic, and the suspectfledin the vehicle.

Friday, March 8th, 4:35 A.M.:Thesame Honda Accordintentionallybacked into the Desert Valley Treatmentsagain, re-damaging to the building.The incident is almost identical to the first — nothing was stolen. Only this time, the suspect drenched the car, inside and out, with a flammable liquid, but failed to ignite the car and no fire was ever started. The suspect was spotted running from the scene and was described as a male in his late teens or midtwenties.

Monday, March 18th, 2:08 A.M.:A stolen gray Honda Accord intentionally backed into THC of Palm Springs on N Palm Canyon Dr, causing major damage to the business. Once again, nothing was stolen. The suspect fled on foot and the car was recovered at the scene.

Thesimilarityof the incidents leads one to believe they are related, and the Palm Springs Police Department agrees.
