Food and Wine Festival begins today in Palm Desert

The three-day Food & Wine Festival Palm Desert will start today with a luncheon featuring James Beard Award-winning chefs.

The four-course James Beard Luncheon starts at 11:30 a.m. and includes wine pairings and demonstrations by Beard award-winning chefs.

Tickets are $125 each. The festival’s Grand Tasting is Saturday and Sunday, tickets are $75.

The festival includes cooking demonstrations, wine seminars, food from more than 50 local restaurants and food purveyors, and book signings.

Featured chefs include Luciano Pellegrini, Martin Yan, Bradley Ogden, Sarah Moulton, Tanya Holland, Sharone Hakman and Alejandra Schrader.

The festival benefits the Friends of the James Beard Foundation, the Culinary Institute of America’s Endowed Scholarship Fund and Les Dames d’Escoffier.
