A toddler is in stable condition after being bit by a rattlesnake at a Christian camp in Mountain Center.

A CalFire statement said medics were called to the Pine Springs Ranch on Apple Ranch Road at 1:43 p.m., Saturday in the mountains south of Palm Springs.

Firefighters said the toddler was bitten on the finger by an unknown breed of rattlesnake.
