Coachella man arrested for DUI in Palm Desert after rear-ending car
A 26-year-old Coachella man was suspected of drunkendriving and crashing his truck into another vehicle in Palm Desert, and wasreleased on bail today.
The crash was reported at 8:10 p.m. Thursday at Washington Street andFred Waring Drive. Deputies found a Mazda truck had rear-ended a Volvo whichhad stopped at the traffic light in the southbound left turn lane onWashington, sheriff’s Sgt. Ken Black said.
Black said the truck’s driver, Lucio Almaguer, was intoxicated at thetime of the crash. No one was hurt.
Almaguer was arrested and booked into the county jail in Indio. Heposted a $2,500 bond today, according to jail records.
