Free concert series set to begin in Palm Desert

The city of Palm Desert will start its free fall concert series at Civic Center Park Thursday.

Concerts will be held at 7 p.m. at the park on four consecutive Thursdays in October.

Tomorrow’s concert features blues rocker Kelly Moneymaker.

The rest of the lineup:
— Oct. 10: Amanda Castro, vintage jazz;
— Oct. 17: David and Olivia, Americana and country; and
— Oct. 24: Shaken Not Stirred, dance.

Concertgoers should bring picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase; alcoholic beverages and smoking are prohibited.
