Dead man walking, it’s Palm Springs annual Zombie Walk

The third annual Zombie Walk Palm Springs will stagger through downtown tonight during the weekly VillageFest street fair.

Starting at 7 p.m., people dressed as zombies will gather at Baristo Road and South Palm Canyon Drive and walk through the area “as a type of street theater,” according to organizers.

Donations — including cash, personal hygiene items and non-perishable food — are encouraged to benefit SafeHouse of the Desert, which helps youth in crisis.

College of the Desert will run a makeup booth, and an after-party will be held at the Crazy Coconut Bar and Grill at 166 N. Palm Canyon Drive.
