Inaugural “Feartastic” horror film festival starts tonight in Palm Springs

The festival starts with a Halloween party at 8 p.m. at the Hard Rock Hotel, and films will be screened Friday and Saturday at Camelot Theatres. Five films will debut — “Contracted,” “Dead Weight,” “Delivery,” “Here Comes the Devil” and “The Second Death” — and all screenings will be followed by a question-and-answer session with writers, directors and cast members, spokesman Sergio Quilici said.

Other scheduled events include filmmaker panels and cocktail parties.

The festival’s program director is Bradley Sullivan, writer and director of 2010 indie horror flick “I Didn’t Come Here To Die.”

Halloween party tickets are $40 or $100 for VIP admission; screenings, panels are cocktail parties are $10 each; a full festival pass is $99 or $150.
