Meat Protest in Palm Springs

Advocacy group “Mercy for animals” held a protest in downtown palm springs today. Their mission was to encourage people to adopt a vegetarian diet. During the lunch hour some visitors in front of the Marilyn Monroe statue stopped and did a double take at the inflatable dog inside a hot dog bun. It was there to illustrate the protestors’ point. A spokesperson for the organization said, “the only difference between the animals called pets and those considered meals is our treatment of them. All animals deserve the same consideration and respect.” Mercy for Animals is touring the western United States encouraging people to move toward a plant based diet.
