Country Club Drive could be closed for several hours
An accident closed eastbound Country Club Drive between Cook St. and Portola Ave. in Palm Desert for several hours on Thursday, according to Deputy Munoz with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
One car crashed into a power pole on the side of the road.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area until the accident was cleared and SCE crews could fix the power pole. Palm Desert Police advised people to use Frank Sinatra Drive as an alternate route.
There was no word if the driver was injured in the crash.
