Woman ID’d after deadly assault in Thousand Palms

A woman who died Tuesday after being found with traumatic injuries at the Tri-Palms Estates in Thousand Palms has been identified. The Riverside County Coroner’s Office said the victim was 56-year-old Victoria Supola.

The sheriff’s department was called to the 73000 block of Pacheta Square around 11 a.m. to a reported assault.

Authorities said Supola was assaulted in her home and died from her injuries at 2:12 p.m. after being taken to the hospital.

Police haven’t named any suspects yet and the investigation is being handled by the Palm Desert Station and the Riverside County Central Homicide Unit.
