Palm Desert Elephant Bar is closing

The Elephant Bar in Palm Desert is closing on Thursday and 50 people will be looking for a new job, according to management.

The restaurant is located at 73-833 Highway 111.

News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 first heard of the closure on Monday when employees contacted our stations.

It’s unclear exactly why the restaurant is closing its doors, but its just one of several other Elephant Bar locations in Southern California set to close on Thursday.

A manager at the restaurant in Santa Clarita, who will also be out of a job on Thursday, said eight other Elephant Bar locations throughout California closed within the past couple of weeks, according to media reports.

News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 will provide more details about the closure of our local Elephant Bar when they become available.
