Road work will close Miles Avenue Tuesday morning

Miles Avenue in Indian Wells will be closed to through traffic in both directions between Warner Trail and Washington Street Tuesday morning to allow for road repairs.

The closure will take place from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m., according to the Coachella Valley Water District.

The C.V.W.D. is replacing a portion of asphalt pavement at the intersection of Miles Avenue and Washington Street.

Drivers are advised to use Fred Waring Drive or Highway 111 as an alternate route while the construction takes place.

Officials with the water district said you will still be able to access the Indian Wells Tennis Garden from southbound Washington Street (Driveway #1), and eastbound Miles Avenue (Driveway #7).
