Sunline to offer free rides Thursday morning

SunLine Transit Agency will offer free rides Thursday morning as part of a nationwide effort to get people to use public transportation.

As part of Dump the Pump Day, sponsored by the American Public Transportation Association, SunLine will provide free rides on all local routes
from 5 a.m. to noon.

“In these tough economic times with high gas prices, everyone is looking for a way to save money. Dump the Pump Day encourages people in the
Coachella Valley to park their cars, ride the bus and leave the driving to us,” said SunLine CEO and General Manager Lauren Skiver.
