Van crashes into Indio home

A van crashed into a home in Indio near Clinton Street and De Oro Avenue around 10:40 a.m. Friday.

According to Dan Marshall, public information officer for the Indio Police Department, the driver apparently lost control and crashed into the corner of the home.

The driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution. Police don’t suspect the person to have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

There was moderate damage done to the home. There was at least one person home at the time of the crash, according to our crew that was at the scene.

Neighbors told us the driver was a woman and she was seen walking around following the crash.

No roads were closed.
