Missing woman’s car found in Twentynine Palms
Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 19-year-old woman who disappeared over the weekend.
Erin Corwin was last seen on Saturday at 7 a.m. when she was leaving her Twentynine Palms home on her way to Joshua Tree National Park, according to a release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Her husband, who she lives with on the Twentynine Palms Marine Base, reported her missing on Sunday.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and Joshua Tree National Park Rangers began an extensive search by air and on the ground. The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Homicide Detail was also called in to assist with the investigation.
Corwin’s 2013 Toyota Corolla was found in Twentynine Palms on Monday, but deputies said there was no indication of where she was traveling or her current whereabouts.
Corwin is a white female, 5’02”, weighs 120 lbs., and has brown hair and blue eyes. She is also three months pregnant.
Erin’s family has set up a Facebook page in effort to locate her.
