15 people arrested in compliance check sweep in Indio

Indio Police say 15 people were arrested during a compliance check sweep operation on Thursday. According to a news release sent out on Friday, Indio Police confirm they teamed up with P.A.C.T (Post-Release Accountability and Compliance Team) and conducted the operation.

Approximately 72 law enforcement personnel participated in the operation. The operation resulted in compliance checks of 67 locations and the arrest of 15 individuals. Drugs, drug paraphernalia, weapons, and stolen property were recovered as a result of the operation.

The following individuals were arrested during this sweep:

Tamara Jackson 48 years old of Indio 11377 (A) & 11364.1 H&S (5.8 Grams of methamphetamine)

Andres Gary Castro 30 years old of Indio Felony Warrant

Jamie Swart 27 years old of Indio Violation of PRCS Probation

Johnny Mendoza 26 years old of Indio Violation of PRCS Probation and 148.9 PC

Miguel Hernandez 54 years old of Indio Felony Warrant

Andrea Chapa 40 years old of Indio Felony Warrant

Peter Gutierrez 28 years old of Indio 11350 H&S (.3 grams of heroin)

Luis Enllanche 32 years old of Indio 3056 PC (Parolee at Large)

Juan Salinas 22 years old of Indio 3056 PC (Parolee at Large)

Arthur Garcia 52 years old of Indio Misdemeanor Warrants

Byron Altamirano 37 years old of Indio 11350 H&S, 30305 (A) PC, 496 PC, 11364.1 H&S, and 1203.2 PC (6.0 grams of heroin)

Manuel Garcia 56 years old of Indio 5 zip guns (see attached photos)

Daniel Soto Garcia 33 years old of Indio 5 zip guns and 11377 H&S

Deanna Maria Garcia 25 years old of Indio Misdemeanor Warrant

David Marroquin 43 years old of Indio Felony warrant and 11377 H&S

In 2011, Governor Brown signed Assembly Bill (AB) 109 to reduce overall prison population which released many newly-convicted “low level” offenders into the County Jail system, many have been released back into the community.

Indio Police says parole sweeps, like the one performed on Thursday, is the ensure that those individuals on mandatory supervision are in compliance with the conditions of their probation.
