Voter registration ends Monday

Riverside County Registrar of Voters Rebecca Spencer reminds residents that Monday is the deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 4 election.

The registrar’s office will be extending hours of operation Monday to accommodate applicants, keeping the doors of the registrar’s headquarters at 2724 Gateway Drive open until midnight.

According to Spencer, residents may also file registration applications online at www.registertovote.ca.gov. All forms will be accepted as long as they’re filled out and submitted by 11:59 p.m. Monday.

All applicants must be U.S. citizens, 18 years old, and have no criminal convictions that prevent them from voting. Residents who have been ruled mentally incompetent are also barred from registering.

Anyone with questions was encouraged to contact the registrar’s office at (951) 486-7200.
