East Valley Restaurant Week kicks off Wednesday

An event is planned in Indio Wednesday to launch the inaugural East Valley Restaurant Week.

Fifteen local restaurants will provide samples of their dishes at the event, which goes from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Shields Date Garden, located at 80225 Highway 111.

The city and the Indio Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau are putting on East Valley Restaurant Week, which runs Wednesday through Saturday, Nov. 1, according to chamber events manager Elizabeth Grosse.

The cost of admission is $10 and the event is open to the public. For more information, or to pre-order your event wristband, call (760) 347-0676.

Restaurants from the La Quinta and Indio areas will offer discounts throughout the event. A full schedule of events can be found at www.cvdining.com.
