Three hurt in Highway 74 crash near Mountain Center

CAL FIRE reports three people were serious injured in an accident on Highway 74 near Dry Creek in the Mountain Center area.

The accident happened just after 4:00 p.m. on Sunday involving two vehicles.

Rescue crews had to cut victims out of both vehicles.

In all, three people were transported toa regional trauma center with what was classified as major injuries. Two were taken by ambulance, the third was air lifted.

No word on their condition.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
