Lost boys reunited with parents after hiking mishap
Two boys got separated from their parents while hiking Sunday on the Maynard Mine Trail near the Andreas Canyon.
The Palm Springs Mountain Police Search and Rescue Unit and the Agua Band of Cahuilla Indian Tribal Rangers joined forces to search for the 10 and 11 year-olds. A C.H.P. helicopter was called in to assist and the two children were quickly spotted on a range not far from where they lost their parents.
Both boys were airlifted from the mountain and safely reunited with their mom and dad.
