Gene Autry & Vista Chino back open in Palm Springs

Two major roads have reopened in Palm Springs after flooding in the Whitewater Wash created problems for thousands of drivers in the Coachella Valley.

Gene Autry Trail reopened around 10:30 a.m. Friday and Vista Chino was back open around 3:45 p.m.

N. Indian Canyon Drive and Araby Drive are all still closed at the wash. Officials said Indian Canyon will definitely be closed until Saturday at least.

Dune Palms Road in La Quinta closed Thursday night at the wash, but was back open Friday morning, according to officials with La Quinta Public Works.
