Woman crashes near train tracks in Palm Springs
An elderly female drove into some railing on North Indian Canyon Saturday night, shutting down the road for a few hours, according to Palm Springs police.
Sgt. Arnold Galvan says the woman was trying to drive over the train track overpass in her black Ford truck when she hit the railing.
Firefighters had to get the woman out of her truck. She was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
At this time, alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash.
Police sent out a Nixle alert asking people to avoid the area. North Indian Canyon Dr. was reopened at 10:58 p.m.
