Woman, dog hurt in Coachella house fire

Four people will need to find a place to live, according to Cal Fire, after a fire in Coachella early Monday morning.

Firefighters say the fire started around 2:30 a.m. in a home on the 52200 block of Tripoli Way near Avenue 52. Flames were seen coming from the roof.

One woman had burns on her hand and foot. She was taken to the hospital for treatment. The woman’s child and parents also live in the home. All four will be getting housing assistance from The Red Cross.

A dog was also hurt in the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
