Homicide detectives investigate baby’s death in Yucca Valley

We’re just now getting word that investigators with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the death of a four-week-old Yucca Valley boy who stopped breathing early Monday morning.

Deputies with the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station and medical crews were called to a home in the 8500 block of Amador Avenue around 4:30 a.m. after the emergency was reported.

According to the sheriff’s release, the baby was transported to High Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree where doctors were unable to save his life.

Investigators from the sheriff’s Specialized Investigation Homicide Detail are currently investigating the boy’s death. Anyone with information regarding the investigation is asked to call Detective Troy Mooradian or Sergeant Robert Warrick at (909) 387-3589.
