Another year of ‘Safe and Sane’ Fireworks planned in Cathedral City

The Cathedral City Fire Department will be helping with another year of ‘Safe and Sane’ Fireworks’ sales, and enforcement of storage and discharge regulations this Fourth of July.

Cathedral City officials said firework stand applications and program instructions will be available to nonprofit groups beginning April 6 at 7 a.m. Applications must be submitted with a $100 nonrefundable fee no later than 4 p.m. on April 9.

You can download an application online (Look for the 4th of July image) or pick up the form at the Cathedral City Fire Department’s administration offices, located at 32100 Desert Vista Road.

According to the release, the Fireworks Program is open to IRS exempt organizations. All fireworks stands must be operated by Cathedral City-based, non-profit groups.
