Businesses invited to tax credit workshop in Cathedral City

Assemblyman Eduardo Garcia is inviting local businesses of all sizes to attend his California Competes Tax Credit Workshop on Thursday morning in Cathedral City.

Assemblyman Garcia will be joined by the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) to teach businesses how to apply for this tax credit program, according to Garcia’s Communications Director Frank G. Salazar.

“The California Competes Program provides millions in tax credits as an income tax credit to businesses that want to locate, stay and grow their business in California,” Assemblyman Garcia said.

The California Competes tax credit workshop takes place Thursday, July 30 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Mary Pickford Theatre, located at 36850 Pickfair Street in Cathedral City.

Assemblymember Garcia hopes to see more of our local businesses take advantage of this opportunity and apply for these state resources through the California Competes Tax Credit (CCTC).

Garcia said $75 million will be available during the current application round, which began on July 20 and ends on August 18.

If you want more information about applying for the California Competes Tax Credit for your business, head out to Thursday’s workshop, or call (760) 347-2360.
