Rock ‘N’ Roll Mini Golf to close in La Quinta

By the end of the month, there will be one less place to have some summer fun indoors here in the Coachella Valley.

Rock ‘N’ Roll Mini Golf on Dune Palms and Highway 111 in La Quinta has been a place for people of all ages to stay cool indoors and work on their putting skills since it opened last summer. Now the owner, Jody Erdahl, said the glow in the dark miniature golf business is closing down at the end of August.

Erdahl said the rent isn’t going up, but the building owners want to rent out the entire facility, not just the one-third Rock ‘N’ Roll Mini Golf currently uses.

The indoor course was known for its black light decor, arcade and rock music.

No word if Erdahl plans to open a new location.
