Excessive Heat Warning in effect for Coachella Valley
The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for the Coachella Valley. It begins Friday at 1 pm and will remain in effect through Monday at 9 pm. The Banning Pass cities and Inland Empire are also included in this warning.
High pressure pushing west will bring temperatures up to 15 degrees above average. Saturday and Sunday are expected to be the warmest days with high temperatures between 115 and 120. Record heat is also possible with the expected conditions. Please take extra precautions as this heat can be dangerous. Temperatures will return to average by the middle of next week.
In addition, we have a Heat Advisory in effect for our local mountain areas where temperatures could get up to 105.
