Man arrested for drunk driving, causing crash

On Tuesday at 11:30 p.m., officers from the Rancho Mirage Police Department responded to an injury traffic collision, involving a single vehicle, at Dinah Shore Dr. east of Da Vall Dr. in Rancho Mirage. The driver of the vehicle, Jesus Gomez, age 31 of Thousand Palms, collided into the center median of Dinah Shore Dr. causing the car to rollover. Both the driver and passenger of that vehicle were injured and taken to an area hospital with moderate, non-life-threatening injuries. Gomez was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury, and later booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio.
