3 arrested on felony charges while trying to cash stolen check

Three people were arrested in Desert Hot Springs Wednesday afternoon when officers caught them trying to cash a stolen check at a Wells Fargo bank.

Officers were called to the bank in the 14000 block of Palm Drive at about 3 p.m. when 34-year-old Wan Holloway attempted to cash the stolen check. Authorities said 18-year-old Dominick Mesta was also inside the bank and they determined he was the one who stole the check.

Officers also determined 19-year-old Cristian Villegas was involved in the incident when they found the suspect sitting inside a vehicle outside of the bank.

All three suspects were arrested on multiple felony charges after the investigation.
