Mother, three kids killed Christmas day in Big Bear Lake mobile home fire

Three children and their mother have been killed in a Southern California mobile home fire on Christmas morning.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office says the fire was reported in Big Bear Lake just before 6 a.m. Friday. A deputy arrived to find the mobile home fully engulfed, with the injured family’s father outside.

The father said his family was still inside but he couldn’t get in because of the extent of the blaze.

The sheriff’s office says Big Bear Lake firefighters arrived and attempted rescue efforts but had to pull back because the roof was about to collapse.

Official identify the people killed as 34-year-old Maria De Los Angeles, 8-year-old Citlali Carlos, 3-year-old Andres Carlos and 6-month-old Pearla Carlos.

The father was airlifted to a hospital for treatment in unknown condition.
