Fire forces a family out of La Quinta home
Six people are without a home after their house caught on fire Sunday.
Cal Fire said it happened just before 4 p.m. in La Quinta on Bottlebrush Drive near avenue 50 and Washington.
The fire was quickly contained shortly after crews arrived.
Officials said the American Red Cross was called out to help three adults and three children with a place to stay because of fire damage.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
