Fire forces family of eight out of Indio home
Eight people are out of their home after flames ripped through the Indio house Sunday morning.
The fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. at the 81100 block of Miles Avenue, across from Indio Middle School. Cal Fire said firefighters discovered the fire sparked in the garage and spread to the home.
There were no injuries reported.
The American Red Cross was called in to help the family of eight who was displaced.
