Border Patrol arrests child molester living near middle school
A convicted child molester who was living in the United States illegally was recently arrested by Border Patrol agents following a six month investigation.
El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents from the Indio Station, with the assistance of ICE (Immigration and Custom Enforcement), arrested 43-year-old Cesar De La Torre on Tuesday, December 29.
De La Torre was taken into custody near his home by West Avenue L Street in Calimesa. Agents said the area is within walking distance of a local middle school.
According to the release, De La Torre, a Mexican citizen, was taken to the Adelanto Detention Facility for processing of removal proceedings.
