Man killed in Palm Springs crash on Saturday identified

The Riverside County coroner’s office released the name of a Perris man killed in a Palm Springs crash over the weekend. He was 27-year-old Lafayette Breedlove, the coroner’s office said.

The crash was reported on Highway 111 north of Overture Drive at 5 p.m. Saturday, according to the coroner’s office. Breedlove was pronounced dead at Desert Regional Medical Center at 5:28 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol Indio station was investigating the accident, which resulted in three other people being transported to hospitals for treatment of injuries, said a dispatcher.
