DHS man accused of indecent exposure in street

Desert Hot Springs police arrested a 29-year-old man on Monday afternoon when witnesses said he was standing in the middle of the street, masturbating.

Officers were called to the 66400 block of Flora Avenue at about 12:40 p.m. The suspect was identified as Daniel Paulsen, according to Sergeant Daud Chang with the DHSPD.

Paulsen had left the area before officers arrived, but they found him at the intersection of Palm Drive and Flora Avenue shortly after.

Sgt. Chang said the victims identified Paulsen as the man they saw masturbating in the street. They identified him in a field lineup after he was detained, according to the release.

Paulsen was booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning. He’s facing charges for the indecent exposure.
