Crowds two-step into town for Stagecoach

Stagecoach kicks off weekend three of the festival season Friday night.

Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Doobie Brothers, were all big names Stagecoach visitors are excited to see.

Thousands made their way down Interstate 10 into Indio and finally to the polo fields. A stampede of RV’s led the way through the traffic.

62-year-old Dana Sorensen has been coming to Stagecoach for the past three years. He came by the Jackelope Ranch to kick off the weekend before the real party begins.

“They’re 21 years old and you see people in their 50’s and 60’s and they all come together and have a good time!”

Many locals consider themselves lucky since they can hear some of the music without paying for a wristband, but they usually pay the price on Monday with the traffic.

The Indio Police Department tells us everyone should steer clear of Jefferson Street at the start of next week. Traffic is expected to be heavy there from the RV’s and construction in the area.
