Palm Desert grad awaits NFL future

“Lowest I was projected was 4th, and that was my pro day.” Palm Desert grad and future NFL player Lars Hanson said

It began on the Aztec football field six years ago when it was just a dream, and now the Sacramento St. Hornet is likely one day away from hearing ” Lars Hanson– Welcome to the NFL.”

“Well my mom has been talking about it all day everyday.”

“Always been proud of him, he’s a big guy, I always knew he would be something, I figured it was football, he’s not going to be a gymnast.” his mother Susan Hanson added.

No floor routines or bars for Lars, he is a born and bred NFL Left Tackle, and although it may not like like it sitting down, he is a 6’7 315 pound specimen.

“University of Washington, played a good game against them, and the NFL PA Bowl Game I got to shine out there in front of a lot of scouts, Cincinnati, NY Giants, Texans, Browns, Kansas City.”

If the standout will hear his name in 2016, it will likely happen tomorrow in the final day of the NFL Draft, and big number 76, he is calm cool and collected.

“Just like you take a football game, play by play, not the whole game all at once, each play, take it to the next one and the next one and just taking it one step at a time.” Lars said.

“Don’t make me cry.” his mom added

The family is spending the day at home, ready for what the future has in store. Just remember, if you dream it, you can achieve it. Never stop chasing.
