Community Rallies to Help Woman After March Hostage Situation

Kristin Bauer was taken hostage by her ex-boyfriend at an Office Depot in Redlands back on March 24th. After a three hour standoff the man was killed by police, but Kristen was also shot in the commotion.

Kristin’s friend and Manager Shelley Marquis has led a community effort to help Kristin recover. Injuries to her shoulder, lung, liver and ribs are all healing, but Shelley points out that the mind and spirit might take a little longer to heal.

A major fundraising event will take place including five live bands, raffles, food trucks and fun for the kids including a balloon artist, ice cream and snow cones.

This community event takes place at Brew Rebellion in San Bernardino on Sunday May 1st from Noon until 5 pm. The address is 195 N. Del Rosa, San Bernardino, CA 92408 inside the property of the San Bernardino International Airport.
