Traffic Alert in Palm Springs

Motorists can expect to see delays along Gene Autry Trail and Vista Chino Drive in Palm Springs this week as Caltrans crews continue a Highway 111 improvement project.

Caltrans issued a statement saying crews would be slurry sealing along the northbound lanes of Gene Autry Trail the week of May 9 at the southeast end of Palm Springs International Airport.

They will be closing lanes along Gene Autry Trail, north of District Center.

Crews will also be working along the westbound lanes of Vista Chino from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.

Construction will work will be conducted along one mile segments.

Driveways could be blocked for short times during the work.

And motorists are urged to slow down and follow directions from road crews.
