Lou Ferrigno returns for third annual Ferrigno Legacy Fitness Competition

Lou Ferrigno returns to the desert for the third annual Ferrigno Legacy Fitness Competition. The “Incredible Hulk” is bringing some of the most chiseled athletes to the Auga Caliente Casino Resort Spa for a weekend of flexing and power lifting. Ferrigno and his son will host more than 400 athletes who will compete for trophies, cash prizes and fitness recognition.

If you were wondering what the back-to-back Mr. America and Mr. Universe does to stay in shape, here’s the secret.

“I eat like meat, fish and eggs and fruit and vegetables. I train every day for an hour, like 30 minutes of cardio, 30 minutes of training. It’s all about consistency, that’s what everybody’s forgetting. You go to work every day, you’re consistent, but you got to be consistent with your body,” Ferrigno said.

The Ferrigno Legacy is a national qualifier for amateur athletes. Top-qualified amateurs may go on to compete for pro status.

If you’d like to attend the competition, it starts Saturday at 9 a.m. and finishes at 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets start at $15.
