Police search for robber armed with machete

San Bernardino Sheriff investigators are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect who who allegedly robbed a 29 Palms restaurant while armed with a machete.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, at 3:30 a.m. Monday, an unknown suspect entered the Castaneda’s restaurant, located on the 73-000 block of Sun Valley Drive in 29 Palms, armed with a machete. The suspect walked behind the front counter and took an unknown amount of money from the business. Nobody inside the business received any injuries during the robbery reported the department.
