Two men arrested after police disccover multiple weapons and thousands of dollars worth of drugs

Two Palm Springs men are in jail Saturday morning and are facing weapons and drug charges after police uncovered 50 guns and hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of methamphetamine.

Phillip Prieto, 56, and Juan Gonzalez, 43, were arrested Friday and booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and sales and possession of a controlled substance while armed.

A search warrant was served at a home on South Palm Canyon Drive by the narcotics task force.

Police found 54 guns, about $400,000 worth of meth and thousands of rounds of ammunition. Both men are being held on $500,000 bail.
