DHSPD find pipe bomb in home during investigation

Police found a pipe bomb in a home during an investigation, bomb squad was called and detonated the device.

According to DHSPD, a pipe bomb was found at a home on Cielo Rd while they were investigating a home invasion.

Police immediately cleared the home, and notified bomb squad.

Bomb squad detonated the device in the front yard of the home. No one was injured or hurt.

Police are still investigating why the bomb was inside the home, they say the home owner claims to have no idea how the pipe bomb was in his home. The home owner had been the victim of the home invasion the police were originally there to investigate.

DHSPD has some possible suspects in the home invasion investigation, but they’re still investigating whether there was a connection to the pipe bomb.
