La Quinta Arts Festival returns Mar 2-5

The 2017 La Quinta Arts Festival returns to La Quinta’s Civic Center Campus March 2-5 for 35th anniversary celebration.

The event is in it’s 35th consecutive year, bringing art lovers and collectors out for the ultimate annual fine art and culture experience.

The four day festival is produced by the non-profit La Quinta Arts Foundation, and will see 220 artists from 40 States, Argentina, Canada, Czech Republic, and Nicaragua display their original art in the park and with a backdrop of the Santa Rosa Mountains.

The festival was named the #1 Fine Art Festival in the Nation by Art Fair SourceBook (2013, 2014, 2015) and #3 in 2016.

The 2017 Festival theme is ‘Make A Splash.’ This year’s 35th Anniversary Festival Poster is by Signe and Genna Grushovenko of South Carolina.

Patrons can look for some new, unique experiences and art installations in the Splash Lounge and throughout the event.

The La Quinta Arts Foundation has awarded $1.23 million in college scholarships to 376 emerging art professionals from La Quinta Arts Festival proceeds.

The La Quinta High School Culinary Arts Program will present the La Quinta Arts Foundation with a 35th Anniversary cake.

Patrons will also be invited to snap and post a photo with their favorite Yarn Bomb installation crafted by local community creatives.

A Beach ball Treasure Hunt will also will also give attendees a chance to exchange their hidden beach ball finds at the Festival Shop for the 35th Anniversary Commemorative Poster.

La Quinta Arts Festival hours are 10am to 5pm daily, and admission is $17 for a Single Day Ticket, $22 for a Multi-Day Pass, and free for children 12 and under. Tickets may be purchased online at LQAF.com, the best option to avoid long lines – or at the Festival gates.

The amphitheater will feature live entertainment and performances from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. with notable headliners Horace & the Kg’s upbeat R&B on Friday, Mike Costley jazz and standards on Saturday and Steve Madaio Band with swing on Sunday.

The La Quinta Arts Festival has a new partnership with Tesloop, which will offer a first-class stress-free transportation experience for patrons traveling to the festival from Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

The La Quinta Arts Festival serves more than 22,000 patrons annually.

Tickets are $17 Single Day, $22 Multi-Day, Children 12 and under are free.
