Authorities believe missing Michigan teen may be in Coachella Valley; advocate says see it, call it

The National Center for Missing and Endangered Children sent out an advisory Monday morning regarding a missing teenager from Michigan who hasn’t been heard from in over a year. The reason we received the advisory in Southern California is because the center believes the boy may be in the area of Twentynine Palms or Indio.
Cody Page, 16, of Saginaw, Michigan was last seen on March 15, 2016.
He’s described as white, 6 feet tall and weighs about 180 pounds, according to NCMEC’s advisory.
On Facebook, one News channel 3/CBS Local 2 viewer commented that she might have seen the teen in Indio.
Indio police said they responded to a possible sighting Monday morning but didn’t find Page.
Mika Moulton whose own son was abducted and killed, dedicates her life to helping others said reporting a sighting could end a family’s search.
“It could be that person. You have to understand that those pictures that they have on the internet or on social media, that’s normally that perfectly posed kind of picture from a photo shoot. A person doesn’t always look like that every single day so if you slightly think it, report it,” Moulton said.
Saginaw Township Police department would not comment on how Page went missing, or why they think he could be here. Moulton said time plays a factor in missing children cases but there is still hope.
“For instance, Elizabeth Smart she was found after 9 months. The girls in Cleveland for all of those years, Jaycee Dugard, 18 years. It’s important to immediately get that word out there even after a year. You never know it could be him,” Moulton said.
There was no specific information as to why Cody is believed to possibly be in San Bernardino County or Riverside County.

The advisory comes the same day as Zak Dahlheimer’s special report, Finding Travis, which is scheduled to air on KESQ News Channel 3 at 11 p.m. The report details the 26-year search for Travis Zwieg, a boy who was last seen with his father at a home on Indio Avenue on March 10, 1991.
