Family searches for missing woman last heard from in April

Morongo Basin sheriff’s deputies are advising the public of a High Desert woman who hasn’t been heard from since April 15 when she last contacted her mother via Facebook. Krista Bowman, 32, was last seen on March 14 when she left her mother’s home to visit a male friend in Colorado.

Deputies said Bowman was driving her Toyota Avalon and her last known location was Fort Garland, Colorado. According to authorities, Bowman’s family had contacted her on April 15 via Facebook, but have had no further contact.

Bowman is also known to visit Arizona, New Mexico, and possibly Wyoming, according to the sheriff’s release.

Anyone who has had contact with Bowman, or has information regarding her whereabouts, is urged to contact the Morongo Basin Station, Detective E. Popa at (760)366-4175 or (760)956-5001.
