Beaumont Police arrest man accused of kidnapping & robbery

Beaumont police officers arrest man accused of kidnapping and robbery, among other crimes.

21-year-old Calimesa resident Ajhani Simmons was arrested without incident Monday at 1:30 p.m. after police received several calls regarding a man with a gun.

During the investigation, officers determined that Simmons had kidnapped and robbed an acquaintance and had brandished a weapon in front of several witnesses in the area.

Simmons was arrested for robbery, kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, brandishing a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition and is currently on probation for possession for sales.

Simmons was booked at Smith Correctional Facility in Banning.
